FAQ
Q: What products do you offer?
A: We offer ice packs, box liners, insulated mailers, and other cold chain consumable supplies.
Q: Do you offer samples?
A: We do not offer free samples, but you can order small quantities directly from our store.
Q: Do you accept returns?
A: Due to the consumable nature of our products, all sales are final.
Q: Where do you ship?
A: We currently ship to the continental U.S. only.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: Most orders ship within 1–2 business days and arrive in 2–7 business days.
Q: How do I activate FreshCryo ice packs before freezing?
A: Remove the dry ice pack from its sealed bag. Place it in clean water for about 2–5 minutes (2-layer products) or 5–15 minutes (4-layer products) until each cell is fully expanded and pillow-like. This step “activates” the pack before use.
Q: Do I need to dry the ice packs before freezing?
A: Yes. After soaking, gently pat the surface dry with a clean towel to remove excess water. This prevents sticking and ensures better freezing performance.
Q: How do I freeze FreshCryo ice packs for maximum cooling?
A: For 2-layer products (one plastic side and one mesh side), place the plastic side facing down on the freezer surface for best results. For 4-layer products (plastic sides on both front and back), you can lay the pack flat on either side. Freeze for at least 8–12 hours before use.
Q: How long do the ice packs keep food cold?
A: FreshCryo ice packs can keep items cold for 24–48 hours, depending on insulation and outside temperature. They are ideal for shipping frozen food, seafood, meat, or ice cream. Typically, when wrapping food with a layer of our 1 Cube series, cooling can last up to 72 hours; with a layer of the 9 Cube series, up to 48 hours; and with a layer of the 24 Cube series, up to 24 hours.
Q: Are FreshCryo ice packs reusable and eco-friendly?
A: Yes. Our reusable gel packs for food shipping can be frozen and used multiple times. They are non-toxic, leak-proof, and eco-friendly, reducing both waste and cost.
Q: How many ice packs should I use in one shipment?
A: We recommend maintaining a 2%–3% ice pack density based on package weight (e.g., 200–300 g of ice packs for every 10 kg of food). In hot weather or long-distance shipping, increase usage by 10%–15% for extra cooling.
Q: Are FreshCryo ice packs shipping compliant?
A: Yes. Unlike dry ice, FreshCryo ice packs are safe and fully compliant with UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping regulations across North America.
Q: Can FreshCryo be used for meal prep, subscription boxes, or grocery deliveries?
A: Yes! FreshCryo is widely used as ice packs for meal prep delivery, ice packs for subscription food boxes, and gel packs for meal kit delivery. They also work perfectly as cold packs for online food shipping, reusable shipping ice packs for eCommerce, and ice packs for grocery delivery. With long-lasting cooling and reusable design, FreshCryo keeps food fresh from the warehouse to your customer’s doorstep.
